MISSION STATEMENT

To ensure adolescent sexual, reproductive health, rights, and well being, through the provision of peer education and peer counselling in order to help them to make more informed decisions and therefore improve the quality of their lives.

OBJECTIVES (As followed by YAM Caribbean)

• Increase knowledge regarding sexual and reproductive health
• Improve behaviors regarding sexual health, e.g., postponing sexual debuts, abstinence, secondary virginity, limited number of youth partners and the use of condoms for sexually active youth.
• Reduce teen pregnancy
• Improve gender relationships
• Reduce incidences of HIV/AIDS
