GYNAECOLOGICAL SERVICES:

CONTRACEPTIVE SERVICES: Contraceptive Pills, Injections, Diaphragm Fitting, IUD Insertions, Condoms, Spermicides, and Counseling on Family Planning Methods.

PREGNANCY TESTS, Pap Smear tests, Breast and Pelvic Examinations.

SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES/Infections, HIV/AIDS testing and counselling.

EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION: For those who have had unprotected sexual encounters.

PERMANENT CONTRACEPTIVE METHODS: Voluntary Male and Female Sterilization.

ROUTINE MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS: Routine health checks, Weight, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar Tests.

ANTE-NATAL CLINIC: Providing complete counselling and medical care until the last stages of pregnancy.

OPERATIONS: Tubal Ligation, Endometrical Biopsy, Dilation and Currettage (D&C) and Loop Cone Biopsy.

SPECIALIZED SERVICES:

Colposcopy - diagnosis of cervical abnormalities ie. cancer

Cyrosurgery - Treatment of pre-malignant conditions of the cervix.

Loop Diathermy - Diagnosis and treatment of cervical abnormalities.

Reproductive Investigations - Investigations of infertility, treatment of simple cases of infertility (male & female)

MEN'S CLINIC EVERY WEDNESDAY:

Focusing on urological care including: Prostate cancer screening, Varicocele repair, Prostatic biopsy, Adult circumcision, Blood pressure and Blood sugar monitoring, Nutritional counselling, Counselling and treatment of Sexual dysfunction. 

 

EDUCATION/INFORMATION:

COUNSELLING AND EDUCATION IN SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH: For children, adolescents and adults in the form of lecture discussions and video presentations at schools tertiary institutions, youth, church and community groups and BFPA headquarters.

LECTURES:

Conducted at schools, tertiary institutions, youth and community groups supported by audio visual aids and literature.
